Stewed Apples

This makes a great pre-breakfast, light breakfast, or nourishing snack. It is extra quick to make too.


(for 1 serving):

- 1 apple, peeled and cored, cut into slices or chunks

- 1 teaspoon ghee

- 1/2 teaspoon Sweet Masala

- 1 tablespoon water

- pinch of salt

Sweet Masala: in a jar, mix equal parts of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom powder and ground fennel seeds


Put ghee in a saucepan and add the sweet masala. Stir on low heat for 1 mn, just enough to allow for the spices to bloom. Be careful not to let them burn !

Add the apple, stir to coat with spices and ghee, then add water and cover with a lid. Let simmer on low heat for 4-5 mn.

Serve and enjoy !
